DES MOINES, Iowa – Tom Boesen, from Boesen the Florist, stopped by Local 5’s Midday show to talk about the upcoming event the florist chain is sponsoring, A Ride to Remember.

The motorcycle ride is a way to raise money to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

You can join the Alzheimer’s Association and Honorary Chair & TV Personality from our sister station, CW Iowa Live – KCWI 23HD Jackie Schmillen on Sunday, July 24th. This will be the 7th annual “A Ride to Remember” event.

The event begins at the Southridge Mall parking lot in Des Moines.  Check-in and meet & greet with Jackie Schmillen will take place before the motorcycle ride.  The ride will travel to Winterset, followed by a lunch, before heading off again to Cumming. Cost of $35 per person includes the ride, meet and greet with Jackie, an event t-shirt and a picnic lunch in Winterset.

You can visit www.alz.org for more information about the ride or how you can donate to a great cause!
