Brian Peavy Arrested for 4th Degree Criminal Mischief

Iowa State Redshirt-Junior cornerback, and captain, Brian Peavy was arrested and charged Thursday for 4th degree criminal mischief.

According to Ames Police, they received a call for a disturbance near Brookside Park in Ames. Two men had reportedly spray painted on a nearby skate park. When police arrived, they were directed by witnesses to the two men. They found both males spray painting under a bridge. When they saw police, they ran.

Police caught Brian Peavy and made the arrest for 4th degree criminal mischief and interference. The charge is based on damage to property between $200-$500. Peavy bonded out of Story County Jail later Thursday evening. Iowa State has not released a statement on the incident or commented on Peavy's status for Saturday.
