SEP Trio Turns Attention from Track to the Pitch After Successful Run at State

Sports

Playing multiple sports is a common occurrence for almost every athlete in high school. Having to balance two sports in the same season though, isn’t as easy. Three athletes from Southeast Polk are finding a way to make it work while still finding success. Jordan Furbee has the story.

“It’s been a pretty successful year for SEP Senior, Brianna Hersom and her teammates on the track. State titles in the 4×200 and 4×400 to go along with a Drake Relays title in the 4×400 as well. Now she, Mackenzie Woodard and Sydney Milani turn their attention to the pitch. All three are apart of both track and soccer, which can bring a lot of challenges.”
