First patient in Iowa to receive plasma donation for COVID-19 released from hospital

Lance, the first patient to receive a plasma donation to treat the coronavirus was released from Iowa Methodist Medical Center last week.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The first patient in Iowa to receive a convalescent plasma donation to treat COVID-19 was released from the hospital last week.

According to a Facebook post from UnityPoint Health, Lance was released from Iowa Methodist Medical Center last week. He was able to spend the weekend with his family and is doing well.
