Martina is one puppy who absolutely refuses to be defined, by words or otherwise! At just 3-months old, she's ready to take on the world and prove nothing can keep her down. Martina spent her time in the Iowa Live studio giving kisses and chasing toys. She was even convinced to take a break from playing to enjoy some treats!
"She is the sweetest thing," gushes Abby Youker, Pet Services Support Coordinator at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. "She loves people and is about as confident as they come."
Keep in mind, Martina is still learning how to be a dog. As with any puppy, she needs a patient family willing to help her learn and grow. Although how big she'll end up is anyone's guess!
You can help support Martina and other rescue pets by attending the annual Raise Your Paw Auction this Saturday from 5pm-10pm at the Prairie Meadows Event Center. Attendees can enjoy live and silent auctions, live music, refreshments, and a kitten cuddle lounge. Individual tickets start at $105.

The Animal Rescue League recently rescued 57 dogs and 3 cats from a hoarding situation. Many of them are in dire need of medical intervention. If you can't adopt, consider donating to help support the ARL's Miracle Medical Team.
