NEAR RATHBUN – A Centerville man is killed after a head-on collision in Appanoose County.
The crash happened just south of County Road J29 on Highway 5, just outside of Rathbun on Friday morning.
Authorities say Travis Lee, 30, crossed the center line and hit a driver going the other way. Lee was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
There’s no word tonight on the other driver, Ryan Plate, 23, of Oskaloosa.
The crash remains under investigation.
