DES MOINES — There was a Purple Cupcake competition at the Iowa State Fair Saturday.
It’s put on by the Anita Kaufmann Foundation with the goal of educating the public to not fear epilepsy.
They chose cupcakes because they feel its a sweet way to deliver a difficult message.
The winner took home 300 bucks and best of all, everyone got to eat the cupcakes once the competition was finished.
