Protesters converge at Valley Junction Friday night

People are rallying over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis 11-days-ago.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Another rally took place Friday over the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis last month.

The rally Friday night was held in West Des Moines' Valley Junction. It started at around 7:30 p.m.

The events of the night remained peaceful.

After the mandatory curfew was lifted for Polk County on Thursday, protests have remained peaceful.

Event demonstrators continue to reiterate the need for peace while protesting to not overshadow the message they are trying to get across: justice and change.
