DES MOINES – It’s all business in the front and a party in the back. Mullets made a comeback on Saturday.

The restaurant Mullets, not the hairstyle, hosted the FE-Mullet Festival on Saturday. The festival is an event to raise awareness for domestic violence, as well as to highlight local female music. Female owned businesses were also on site with information about their companies. Portions of the proceeds will go towards the Des Moines Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

“It’s amazing. We’ve had a really great crowd today. It’s cold and it’s rainy but everyone is excited and we’re letting the energy keep us warm and listening to this great music. And everyone has just been so supportive of the cause, which is really refreshing,” said Amanda Heeren, Master of Ceremonies for the festival.
