Brock Purdy's top plays from Super Bowl 58

Watch some of Brock Purdy's best highlights from Sunday night's game.

LAS VEGAS — Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers fell just short of a Super Bowl championship on Sunday, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime 25-22.

The former Iowa State quarterback played a clean game, finishing 23-of-38 passing with 255 yards and a touchdown.

Below are some of Purdy's best plays from Sunday night.

Get it to Christian McCaffrey and let him run

Facing pressure on a 2nd and 6 in overtime, Purdy looked to his left and floated a pass to AP Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey for a 24-yard completion. The running back ended with 160 total yards — 80 rushing and 80 receiving.

Dropping a dime to Chris Conley

With the game still scoreless near the end of the first quarter, Purdy found wide receiver Conley for a 3rd and 9 conversion of 18 yards. That drive ended with a field goal and the 49ers taking a 3-0 lead.

Purdy connects with George Kittle for fourth-down conversion

It took a while, but the Cyclone connected with the Hawkeye. On a gutsy call from 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, Purdy found his favorite tight end to convert on a 4th and 3. The drive ended up with a touchdown ... see the next highlight.

Fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Jauan Jennings

It was quite a performance for Jennings himself, scoring both a receiving touchdown and throwing for a score. Purdy hit Jennings on a slant at the 11:27 mark of the fourth quarter, putting San Francisco up 16-13. The subsequent extra point was blocked, which loomed large come the end of the game.

Purdy scrambles and finds Kyle Juszczyk on the sidelines

On a 2nd and 12 in overtime, tied at 19, Purdy extended the play with his legs and found Kyle Juszczyk down the sidelines for a beautiful 13-year completion. That drive ended in a field goal, putting the 49ers up 22-19 before the eventual game-winning score from KC.
