CLIVE, Iowa — A "large accident" along Interstate 35/80 near Hickman Road in Clive resulted in an on-ramp being closed to traffic and some injuries, according to the Clive Police Department.
The road is clear as of 5:09 p.m. Police reported the interstate is now open and traffic is flowing as normal.
The department tweeted shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday warning travelers to be aware of emergency vehicles and workers in the area. Minutes later, the department reported the northbound on-ramp from University Avenue is closed because of the accident.
Details on how many cars and people were involved in the accident were not disclosed in the tweets from Clive police.
