Prepare yourself for kisses! Ricky loves people even more than he loves treats. And, trust us, that's a tough competition. Ricky is constantly giving handshakes in the hope for a reward. He also knows sit and lay down. But, like most dogs, he could benefit from some good-manners training.
"He's a typical one-year old dog," shares Brian Madison, Customer Experience Manager at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. "He's got some energy, but once you run it out, he's great!"
Ricky is an adventurous dog who enjoys exploring, but will always return to his favorite person's side, tail wagging a thousand miles a minute. True to his friendly nature, Ricky will do well in a home with children and existing pets! He's looking for an active family to go on walks and play fetch in the yard with.

The Animal Rescue League's new Kitten Nursery is open now! This new facility will help provide round-the-clock care for kittens in need. Interested in volunteering? You can attend Kitten Orientation next Thursday from 5pm-6pm at ARL Main.
After orientation, be sure to stop by Yappy Hour at Peace Tree Brewing Company from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Humans are invited to enjoy an evening out with their pups. Don't worry, while you enjoy a beverage, your dog can sample a Bark-uterie cup! $1 from every sale goes back to the ARL.
