Navigating COVID-19 as a business owner

As COVID-19 updates change with increasing speed, The Greater Des Moines Partnership shared their advice for small business owners.

DES MOINES, Iowa — As COVID-19 continues to change our daily lives, the Greater Des Moines Partnership has advice for small business owners and their customers.

"So what I have encouraged small businesses to do is to really think outside the box, they've got to begin to understand what people are doing at home," said Christina Moffatt, the Director of Small Business Resources at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. "So can you send takeout kits, where they can make their things at home? Can you sell gift cards right now that's going to cash flow you and pull you through? And really they need to stop and analyze their business as well right now and begin to think of where they can kind of cut back on overhead as well."
