DES MOINES, Iowa — A beloved Des Moines restaurant is expanding to a second location in the northern part of the city.
Lachele's Fine Foods announced its second location on Friday, saying the business is "more than excited to become a part of the Highland Park community".
The restaurant is known for its decadent burgers and sandwiches at its current Ingersoll Avenue storefront.
"There has been a lot of rumbling going around about our new location. Well…… IT’S TRUE! Papers are signed and construction has begun!" the restaurant shared on Instagram.
MD Eggers Construction and Sequel Architecture are working on plans for the Highland Park shop. The new location will be located at 3619 6th Ave.
"Our Ingersoll location will remain the same. Long live Lachele’s!" the business said.
