Beer Can Alley in downtown Des Moines closing next week

"While you never say never, there are currently no plans to bring the concept back to Downtown Des Moines," the bar wrote on Facebook.

DES MOINES, Iowa — A downtown Des Moines bar is closing after 12 years in business.

Beer Can Alley posted on Facebook that Wednesday, Nov. 22 will be the last day for patrons to stop in.

"While we are very happy with our product & food, it just hasn’t worked out with the change in venue," they wrote. "We’ve been beyond blessed to have spent the last 12 years with everyone, and have a ton of great memories."

Beer Can Alley is located at 409 Court Ave next to Insomnia Cookies and Pho Real Kitchen & Bar. The bar's old location was just down the street at 216 Court Ave.

"While you never say never, there are currently no plans to bring the concept back to Downtown Des Moines," the social media post continues.

Its other two locations are in Omaha and Sioux City.
