David Schultz still missing month after disappearance | $2,000 reward offered for information

If you have any information about Schultz' whereabouts or disappearance, contact local law enforcement or the Sac County Sheriff’s Office at 712-662-7127.

WALL LAKE, Iowa — It's been just over a month since 53-year-old David Schultz went missing, and his family and community are still searching for answers.

A $2,000 reward has been established for anyone with information regarding Schultz's disappearance.

The reward is part of a fund established at Iowa State Bank in Sac City. People interested in donating to the reward fund are asked to drop off or mail checks to Iowa State Bank (500 Audubon Street, Sac City, Iowa, 50583). Checks should be made payable to Sac County Crime Stoppers.

"We extend our gratitude to law enforcement agencies and volunteers who've come together in the search for David," said Jake Rowley, the Midwest team leader for United Cajun Navy, on Facebook. "Businesses and individuals, your contributions can make a significant impact. Let's amplify our efforts by increasing the current reward of $2,000—our goal is to add a zero to that number!"

Schultz left his home around 7 p.m. on Nov. 20 to deliver a shipment of hogs from Eagle Grove to Sac City. He showed up late to his pickup, leaving the confinement in Eagle Grove around 10:50 p.m.

From there, Schultz stopped at the MM126 truck stop in Fort Dodge around 11:15 p.m. Surveillance footage shows Schultz then drove west onto Highway 20, which is the last time he was seen on DOT cameras.

Around 12:18 a.m. on Nov. 21, cell phone data shows Schultz arriving at Highway 20 and 71, before heading north.

However, his hog load never made it to its final destination: His abandoned semi-truck was discovered around 3 p.m. on Nov. 21 near 191st Street and Union Avenue. His cell phone and wallet were found in the parked semi.

If you have any information about Schultz' whereabouts or disappearance, contact local law enforcement or the Sac County Sheriff’s Office at 712-662-7127.
