Polk County Sheriff’s Office identifies 16-year-old killed in off-road motorcycle accident

Deputies responded to reports of an accident near NE 118th Avenue in Bondurant, just west of the South Skunk River, around 6:20 p.m. Saturday.

BONDURANT, Iowa — The Polk County Sheriff's Office has identified the teenager killed in an off-road motorcycle accident on Saturday. 

Deputies responded to reports of an accident near NE 118th Avenue in Bondurant, just west of the South Skunk River, around 6:20 p.m. The caller reported "two juveniles" were riding separate motorcycles when one was involved in an accident.

When first responders arrived, they located 16-year-old Zachary Brennecke with "critical injuries". Emergency personnel began life-saving treatment, but Brennecke was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
