Iowa State Fair adds Thomas Rhett, Ne-Yo to 2024 Grandstand lineup

The Iowa State Fair is already paving the way for a star-studded Grandstand lineup.

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa State Fair announced the next two artists who will join what's paving out to be a star-studded Grandstand lineup.

Country superstar Thomas Rhett and R&B chart-topper NE-YO will perform on Aug. 13 and Aug. 17 respectively.

Rhett is a fan favorite among country fans, amassing 19 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Known for songs such as "Look What God Gave Her" and "Die a Happy Man", Rhett is sure to draw large crowds to the fairgrounds.

Rhett is no stranger to the Iowa State Fair: He performed on the Grandstand stage back in 2018, bringing in 15,775 attendees. More recently, Rhett performed at Wells Fargo Arena in May.

Ne-Yo is a three-time Grammy award-winning R&B artist known not only for his own songs, but for penning hits for fellow artists. Fans may know him by songs "Because of You" and "Miss Independent", but he also lended his creative vision to stars such as Rihanna ("Take a Bow") and Beyonce ("Irreplaceable").

Ne-Yo's most recent album, "Self Explanatory", was released in July of 2022. He also took second place in Season 2 of the British version of "The Masked Singer".

Ne-Yo will be joined by special guest Eric Bellinger, a Grammy-award winning R&B singer-songwriter.

Tickets go on sale for both concerts on Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. For more information, click here.

The Iowa State Fair says more Grandstand artists will be announced in 2024.
