Victim in Eldora homicide had protective order against Bahr, court documents say

Local 5 obtained court documents showing that on May 25, a judge issued a protective order for the victim.

ELDORA, Iowa — The Eldora Police Department said a suspect in connection to a homicide is in custody after days of searching.

The department posted that Nathan Bahr was arrested in Gilbert, Arizona on the Tuesday, May 29.

Eldora PD and the Hardin Sheriff's Office had been searching for the 28-year-old man in connection to an ongoing homicide investigation.

Police say they found a woman dead inside a home on 17th Avenue in Eldora around 5:45 a.m. Friday, May 26.

Bahr is accused of murdering the 25-year-old woman. 

Local 5 obtained court documents showing that on May 25, a judge issued a protective order for the woman, which was meant to restrain Bahr from seeing her or her two children. 

Bahr won't be officially charged until he's handed over to Iowa authorities.
